All About the Kingdom

Picture

Various notes taken from the preaching of Myles Munroe from 2008 to 2012
in Minneapolis, Minnesota;
Nassau, Bahamas; and Miami, Florida.

I live with a burden.
I sleep with a passion.
Visionaries are deeply
passionate people,
who are usually misunderstood
Visionaries live in the future.

Visionaries are reluctant people,
and it's very lonely.
People think visionaries like the limelight, but that's the cost of
being out front.

You cannot be a visionary if
you just want people to like you.
I live a very strange life:
I like people, but I am very lonely.

We need to be educated to change the world - not get a job.
Leadership for itself, is a career.
Leadership that doesn't see the future, is a job.
Leadership that doesn't work for others, is ambition.
Leadership is often lonely.
I think about people.
All I want to do is help those who thought they were nothing.
I belong to the world.

We all have a purpose and the potential to reach our purpose.

We are victims of our culture.
Very few rise above our culture.
The world forms us and very few escape. Those who do, become those who leave their mark on the world.

People who are going nowhere,
want you to go with them.

The most difficult
thing is to be our
self in this world.
Society holds us down.

The cemetery is filled with great gifts and awesome talents. It is wicked to take our great ideas to the grave.

Never judge a person by what you
know about them because you don't really know them. God can see the
real truth about them. Moses was a murderer, but God saw in Moses the first five books of the Bible.
God saw who Moses really was.

Salvation is from the word "Salvage." God loves the garbage dump.
He walks through the dump and
picks up dirty shepherd boys like David
and prostitutes like Rahab.

People haven't seen what you are yet or what you are about to be.
Don't settle on what you've done.
If you are breathing,
God has more for you to do.

Don't live your life a victim of cable T.V. Myles' mother told him,
"If you keep watching T.V., you'll never be on it."
You need to make history; leave T.V. and go into your future.
Try to make history everyday: go somewhere;
talk to someone; read a page from a book.
Unless you learn something new every day,
you are not growing.

Tradition is frozen history. Tradition is usually destroyed by an accident. God says, "I will do a new thing," and you don't see it because you are frozen.

God's omnipotence gives you
the confidence to dream.

I want to see a painting on
the wall of humanity.
I want to see who you are.
Picasso.
Beethoven.
What if they had died without
releasing what was in their head?
I wonder what you are carrying?

Picture

Whatever you're facing - that's a sign
of what God thinks of you.

Criticism is a manifestation
of ignorance.

Every person that's made a mark
on this world, has defied society.

Everything in creation has
unseen things.
A battery has power.
A seed has a tree in it.
You can't see it, but it is there. Everything possesses potential.
People are never what they seem -
you are always wrong about people.

Picture

Your future is in you.
In a shepherd boy, God hides a king.
In a big fisherman, God hid the first preacher of the Gospel.
God took your future and
hid it inside your body.
What you are carrying is not for you.
It is for your children's children.
Don't let the cemetery get it.
